NAPIT operate a comprehensive and rigorous Code of Practice for approved electricians. We are assessed on a yearly basis to ensure we continue to work to the highest standards.
By using a NAPIT approved electrician you can rest assured the work done on your home will be safe, comply with current Regulations and be done to the highest quality standard.
Through NAPIT we are also signed up to a consumer code of practice that complies with the Government’s award winning anti-cowboy TrustMark Scheme and confirms that NAPIT approved electricians work to good health and safety practices, monitor quality and customer care and hold the correct insurance documentation at all times.
NAPIT registered installers work under a Government-approved Competent Person Scheme (CPS) to notify any electrical, plumbing, heating or ventilation works undertaken on your home to your Local Authority Building Control, in accordance with Building Regulations.
As members of the Renewable Energy Consumer Code (RECC), we abide by the Consumer Code. It covers all the factors that contribute to a high standard of consumer service, before, during and after a contract is agreed.
These include:
- clear information on the systems planned and their performance
- acceptable sales and marketing techniques
- arrangements for installing and connecting the system
- the selection and quality of goods supplied
- details of the conditions of business that apply
- the standard of any installation and other on-site work
- guarantees, and any maintenance and after-sales services needed
- what action will be taken to deal with any problems, and
- arrangements for monitoring and continuously improving the Code.
